Digital Services and business models:

a missing or winning element of Europe’s smart industry?

Today, the world of smart industry (“Industry 4.0”) has already become highly automated and digitized. At the same time industrial products, equipment and processes are getting interconnected and collect tons of data every second.

But this wave of digitization is not only about technological possibilities. At the same time, customers, go-to-market and business relationships are changing too. Many non-industrial sectors have experienced already a fundamental change in how companies provide offerings to their customers.

This puts urgency to be proactive on new business and digital service models in the industrial context: Companies that have been purely a manufacturer of hardware are forced to provide digital add-on services or integrate their offering within the sector-leading ecosystems. Other OEMs start to sell their products subscription- or usage-based. There still a lot of change to come and at the same time a large potential that is not exploited.

We'll discuss with an amazing group of Senior European Smart Industry experts on the disruption through digital services and new digital business models for tomorrow’s smart industry. It’s a great opportunity to joining a European network and exchanging with high-level contacts.
